宮島で最古の歴史を持つ寺院である⼤聖院と、古から信仰の対象である弥⼭また、それらが内包する物語をオーディオヴィジュアルの⼿法で作品化。
COSMIC LABによる、⼤聖院・弥⼭の相似律的構成に接続し時空間を拡張させ、深層の精神⾵⼟を表現したXR映像と、サウンドアーティストJEMAPUR氏によるハイパーソニック・エフェクトを活用した音響作品と共に、没入型インスタレーションを制作。現地に赴き、歩き、見、触れることで弥山に圧縮保存された情報を引き出し、己らの感性で解凍、解釈する「デコード」作業から作品が生み出された。現地上映展示と共に、Matterportを使用したオンライン展示も同時に行われた。
COSMIC LAB has created an audiovisual work based on the story of Daisho-in, the oldest temple in Miyajima, and Mt.Misen,
the sacred mountain where has been widely worshipped from ancient times.
We created an immersive installation with XR video that expresses the deep spiritualiality based on the nature by extending the time and space connected to the similar rhythmical composition of the Daishoin and Mt.Misen, with JEMAPUR’s sound work using hypersonic effects. By visiting, walking, seeing, and touching the site, we were able to extract the information compressed and stored in Mt.Misen, and then decode it and interpret it with our own senses. Along with the on-site screening exhibition, an online exhibition using Matterport was held at the same time.
