VJとして可視と不可視が交差する空間表現を探求し続けてきた COSMIC LAB による待望のXR オーディオ・ヴィジュアル・ショウケースを、⽂化庁委託事業の無観客配信イベントとして、2月7日（日）に開催。

シフトする未来へ向けて、COSMIC LABが開発を加速させたXR（エクスパンデッド・リアリティー） Live System を駆使しての新作A/Vパフォーマンスや、EYE、BACKSPACETOKYOなどのアーティストを迎えて、大阪・味園ユニバースで拡張される現実空間からライブストリーミングを行った。

We, COSMIC LAB, the crew who pursue the extension of perception through live-visual experience, was hold an event of audio-visual showcases in 2021. Throughout the past year, we have refined an XR live system used in various performances across Japan and beyond. On February 7, Cosmic Lab was push the technology in new dimensions of reality, thus redefining the term XR from Extended Reality (which implies a linear growth) to Expanded Reality, symbolizing an expansion to all possible spaces of reality. This one-of-a-kind event was feature different perspectives of augmented and virtual reality performances from EYE (of Boredoms), collaborations with BACKSPACETOKYO, and more. The event was streamed live from Misono Universe, an underground / sub-culture sanctuary in Osaka.

 

QUASAR XR

 -COSMIC LAB feat. DJ YASA & NAO-K-

COSMIC LAB 開発の音と映像を同時に奏でる楽器”QUASAR”を用いたショウケース。DMC５年連続世界一の偉業を持つKIREEKの元半身 DJ YASA率いるPlant Recordsとのライブセッション。YoshimiO ( OOIOO )やTOKIO AOYAMAなども作品に参加。
A showcase using QUASAR, a musical instrument developed by COSMIC LAB that plays sound and images at the same time. It’s a live session with Plant Records led by DJ YASA, who holds the record of winning DMC World Champion for five consecutive years as KIREEK. YoshimiO ( OOIOO ) and TOKIO AOYAMA have also contributed in the creation of sounds and visuals for this special performance.

エクスペリメンタルに表現を究め続ける∈Y∋による、リスト装着型とコーン形状の2種の特殊デバイスと接続された身体で奏でる発光サウンドパフォーマンスを、COSMIC LABがXR視覚空間へと増幅させる。

This is a luminescent sound performance by ∈Y∋, who continues to pursue expression in an experimental way,  with his body connected to two types of special devices: glove and cone-shaped. COSMIC LAB amplifies his performance into the XR visual space.

Music live : Kafuka 

「現実に侵食するCG」「Cross-Reality」をテーマに、2020年 Kafuka x BACKSPACE “Live from SSTV B1 Studio” / PUNPEE ワンマンライブ “Sofa Kingdomcome” で披露したChausie。 今回は、関西を拠点に活動するプロデューサー Kafuka を再び迎えつつ、舞台を大阪・味園ユニバースへと変え、EXPANDEDなライブ / 映像のショーケースを行う。
“CG encroaching on reality” and “Cross-Reality” are the theme. Chausie, BACKSPACETOKYO’s original XR system, has been shown off at “Live from SSTV B1 Studio, by Kafuka x BACKSPACE” and PUNPEE’s solo live “Sofa Kingdomcome” in 2020. This time, again with Kansai-based sound producer Kafuka, but changing the stage to Misono Universe, they showcase an EXPANDED live set.

 COSMIC LABとBACKSPACETOKYOが、各々謹製のXRライブシステムをクロスオーバーさせるVJセッション。DJには、世界各地で出会ったデジタルフォークロアを、”地球民族音楽“として大阪ネイティヴに表現し、海外からのリリースも続くGroundを迎える。

COSMIC LAB and BACKSPACETOKYO will hold a VJ session to crossover their respective XR live systems. They will accompany Ground, a DJ who has been releasing digital folklore from all over the world as “global ethnic music” in Osaka.
